Pigment Labs

With a view to provide technical assistance for production of international quality of dyes & pigments in Pakistan, ChemTech has set up a latest technical color lab alongside the production plant. The laboratory provides technical support to the purchase, production and sales function of the business and is equipped with the latest technology for evaluation, development and application testing of products and raw materials.

As part of the Pigment and Dyes qualification process, technicians examine test specimens to analyze the coloristic and performance properties of the Pigments and Dyes. The technical Pigment and Dyes lab is specialized for scientific and technical investigations related to Dyestuff and plays a crucial role in understanding the properties, characteristics, and behavior of colours and their raw material to ensure the quality and performance of the end product.

Here are some of the key functions and activities associated with the technical colour lab:

Quality Control: Testing and analysis of Pigment and Dyes samples to ensure they meet specific quality standards and specifications, including color consistency, particle size distribution, and chemical composition.

Color Matching: Creating and optimizing colour formulations to achieve precise and consistent colours.

Fastness Testing: Evaluating how Pigments and Dyes withstand exposure to light and heat and washing over time, ensuring that the colors remain stable and do not fade.

Chemical Analysis: Determining the chemical composition of Pigments and Reactive Dyes to verify their purity and suitability for specific properties like color intensity and shades.

Dispersion Testing: Evaluating the ability of pigments to disperse evenly in various Emulsion media.

Environmental Testing: Studying the environmental impact of pigments and Dyes, including their toxicity and potential for pollution.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that colours meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Research and Development: Conducting experiments and research to develop new pigments and Dyes or improve existing ones, as well as investigating innovative Dyestuff applications.

Troubleshooting: Investigating and resolving Pigment and Dyes-related issues that may arise in production processes or product formulations.
